Two casting calls for theatre projects (Devon, UK) [04 Feb 2011|05:18pm]

Both nautical, one is pirate! (so I hope its allowed!)

Sadly, shows arent paid, but as you will see there are other perks. We are an award winning, non-profit community theatre company specialising in shows with a historical theme, based in South West England. If you are interested in either show, you can message me here on Livejournal (I am the secretary for the group), or visit our website and facebook links. People need to be locally based to the shows, so think the South of Devon.
If you will be on holiday in the area though, and would like to join in, as these are fast-turn-around shows, you are still totally welcome to get involved!

Feel free to share the information, but please include ALL the information if you do. :)

We arrr sailin' across the cyber seas, lookin' for some fellow pirates t' come join us on our ventures.

We tend to travel to different events (such as faires and cons), with our home port being Pennsic War. Right now, we are mostly based on the east coast of the states, but if ye are lookin' t' join a crew, regardless of where you are located, we would be glad to have ye!

Free theatre show in Devon, England.

Other versions of the poster at http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll1/that_darn_elf/pirates%201/posta2.jpg and http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll1/that_darn_elf/pirates%201/posta1.jpg .

A newly written show of the trial of two real life Eighteenth Century lady pirates.... With re-enactments, and the seized pirates being brought into town in chains earlier in afternoon for pre-show re-enactments, all done by the Brixham - based South Devon Players theatre company (I am one of the two co founders :) ) http://southdevonplayers.weebly.com
This show co-incides with one of Brixhams' Pirate Thursdays (a full day of pirate themed events, dressing up and fun for all ages run by www.brixhambuccaneers.co.uk). While our show takes place in the evening as shown on the poster, look out for the capture of Rackhams crew taking place earlier in the day as a street theatre/re-enactment prologue.

My iguana is still way to small to even vaguely be able to wear a bandana, but that won't stop him from trying :)
He really loves this bandana, he's been stealing it ever since it came home with me from Disneyland Paris June last year (good thing I got two ^^) :)
